Battery health — what the number actually means

iPhone battery health is shown as a percentage of original capacity. 100% is a brand-new cell; Apple considers a battery 'consumed' around 80%. A used iPhone at 87–92% is completely normal and will comfortably last a full day — and a battery is a cheap, quick swap at our workshop if you ever want it back to 100%.

Condition grades, explained honestly
